Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau is one of the only places in Africa to see black leopard and striped hyena, and its open escarpment hosts all of the wildlife and none of the crowds of the Mara. Mount Kenya is a snow-capped geological masterpiece, Tsavo is an enormous wilderness expanse, Amboseli has the big tuskers, and the coast has Mombasa.
