FAQS ABOUT VISITING

Zimbabwe

Is Zimbabwe good for safari?

Yes. Zimbabwe is an exceptional Southern Africa safari destination, known for its wilderness, strong guiding culture and varied landscapes. You can combine iconic places such as Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, Mana Pools and the Zambezi River in one deeply rewarding safari journey.

What is Zimbabwe best known for?

Zimbabwe is best known for Victoria Falls, one of Africa’s greatest natural landmarks, as well as superb wildlife areas such as Hwange National Park and Mana Pools. The country offers a powerful mix of rivers, forests, granite landscapes, big game, birdlife and adventurous safari experiences.

When is the best time to visit Zimbabwe?

The best time to visit Zimbabwe for safari is usually the dry season from May to October, when wildlife is easier to see around rivers and waterholes. For Victoria Falls, the most dramatic flow is usually from February to May, after the summer rains, when the waterfall is at its fullest and most powerful. Later in the dry season, from August to October, water levels are lower, but visibility is often clearer, and game viewing in Hwange and Mana Pools is excellent.

Can you combine Victoria Falls with a Zimbabwe safari?

Yes. Victoria Falls combines very naturally with a Zimbabwe safari. Many guests begin or end their trip at the Falls, then continue to Hwange National Park, Mana Pools, or the Zambezi region for a richer wildlife experience.

How many days do you need for a Zimbabwe safari?

For a well-paced Zimbabwe safari, you usually need 7 to 10 days. This gives you enough time to combine Victoria Falls with a classic safari area such as Hwange National Park, Mana Pools, or the Zambezi River. If you want a deeper journey with more than one wilderness region, 10 to 14 days is ideal.

Who is Zimbabwe best suited for?

Zimbabwe is ideal if you want a safari that feels wild, scenic and less crowded. It suits adventurous travellers, luxury safari guests, keen wildlife photographers, birders and anyone who wants to combine exceptional guiding with places like Victoria Falls, Hwange, Mana Pools and the Zambezi River.
