When Is the Best Time to Visit?

The Republic of Congo can be visited throughout much of the year, but the best conditions for exploring Odzala-Kokoua National Park are generally between June and September, with a second favourable travel window from December to February.

These drier months make gorilla trekking and rainforest walks more comfortable while offering excellent opportunities to experience the park's remarkable wildlife. The wetter months bring greener landscapes, thriving birdlife and a quieter atmosphere, although trails can be more challenging after heavy rain.

Getting There
